an update on my life post education..... as the governing body continue to denounce higher education, reality continues to prove their words ignorant, ill informed and blatant lies.
i am proud and astonished to say i have just been accepted for a university teaching hospital post.
i have a seriously sought after, senior house officer job in intensive care, endocrinology and clinical pharmacology.
Love it!
Thanks for posting mister snare, flippin GOOD FOR YOU!
I looked into the open university, but it's so damn expensive. Wish I'd done it when it was cheap/free.
i have not posted in a bit.... life basically as a fader sucks!!
when my wife just does not get it & i don't know if she ever will.
marriage is great for the most part, but this religion is starting to drive a wedge between us & it really sucks!
I think you're me. How did I post under a different name?!
It DOES suck, big time. I've got a time scale I'm working towards, it's very long term but I really wanna escape with family intact.
jehovah church faces flood of sex abuse cases.
"a woman who was abused from the age of four by a senior officer of the jehovahs witnesses has lodged a 500,000 claim for compensation in a test case that could open the door to hundreds more suits involving members of the religious organisation in the uk.".

I've got it in Yorkshire in the print edition.
The wife asked if I'd bought it for a particular reason as I don't normally.. I said I'd heard that 'we' were in it.
I hope her curiosity will take over, I'll only get criticised for being negative if I point it out.
But I know that she'll have the same attitude as stated above, 'if they've got minor details wrong, who knows what else they've got wrong'. (if only I could get her to apply that line of thinking to the world of jw!)
i have nearly finished writing my 'apostate' book, which i will soon be publishing as a free e-book.
here is an excerpt from it on the subject of evolution and the misconceptions about it held by jws.
sorry it's a bit long, but i would appreciate any feedback.
have lurked here for many, many years.

my fate is to continue to play the game 'till death do us part because the very strong and tangled web of friends, family, business, etc.
so, some of you may have seen my thread from yesterday about my wife waking up.. we had further discussion yesterday evening after i sent her the pbs video on the abuse scandals plaguing the watchtower.
she was so furious and pissed off at wt hq.
apparently a close relative of her's was abused by an elder and the only reason he was reproved and removed as an elder was because he confessed.
I can't remember who said it, but someone gave me the advice to 'let HER progress determine the speed of your fade' .
Kindalike being out for a walk with little kids, you go at their pace then they don't get disheartened.
does anyone have the answers for this weeks written review-.
thanks in advance.
i am starting this topic because i was wondering, i see many who leave "the truth" are glad because they can finally have a beard.
is having a beard really a no go in congregations?
how is / was it in your congregation?.
No too bad in the UK, servants can have them (depending on congregation and body of elders) but definitely won't be asked to give a talk at a convention. I know a few servant with beards, and I've heard of an elder with one, (uncorroborated)
Absolutely ridiculous man made rule.
well, this is a new development.
she broached the subject of ttatt tonight.
said i was right about the flood.
Man ALIVE!!
Your story excites me so much! I hope I can post similarly sometime. Love you Bro, thanks for the inspiration...
